"And for good measure, Sammy Davis Jr’s cover version of In The Ghetto, from Elvis final acting job."

Understandable that the mind isn't working too well after sitting through many of the movies!

"In The Ghetto" didn't feature in "Change of Habit" or any other Elvis film (not acting film, anyway). The sentiments of the song might well have fitted into the storyline, but the only four numbers included were "Change of Habit" "Let Us Pray" "Have a Happy" and "Rubberneckin'".

I prefer the Nazz version -- spare arrangement, and in my opinion more yearning...

I love this series! Thanks again!

I love this series. So many songs I have heard in versions I never knew existed...."Who's That Lady" from 1964? Amazing!

The Beatles' "Across the Universe" have now been released three times (including "Let It Be ...Naked") in drastically different mixes. I actually prefer the "Naked" version. Just John and a guitar...the Spector version with the additional strings in a close second.

Not a cover of "That Lady" mind you, but a pretty blatant steal is the Style Council's "My Ever Changing Moods".

Fair point. It was the Rivieras who had the big hit with it, but Joe Jones whom Levy stole from. Which makes me think, all the songwriters Levy ripped off were black. Coincidence?
